How does Tenofovir work:Tenofovir works to harm the virus and fight the infection.
How should Tenofovir be used:It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. The dose is one 300 mg tablet once daily taken orally, without regard to food.
Common side effects of Tenofovir :Headache. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Feeling tired or weak. Weak bones with long-term use.
What do I do if I miss a doseTake a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.
What precautions should I take when taking Tenofovir :If you have an allergy to tenofovir or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of infection. How does Abacavir work:Abacavir is in a class of medications called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). It works by decreasing the amount of HIV in the blood.
How should Abacavir be used:Abacavir comes as a tablet and a liquid to take by mouth. It is usually taken one or two times a day. Take it exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. You may take Abacavir with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day. If you have been given Abacavir tablets, swallow it whole with a glass of water. If you have problems swallowing the tablet, you can crush it. Mix the crushed tablet with a small amount of food or drink.

How should Lamivudine be used:To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses. Use as you have been told, even if you are feeling better. In HIV care, this drug is most often taken with 2 other drugs. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. There is a liquid (solution) if you cannot swallow pills. Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
